Student  Scholarships
We are now formulating a new avenue for donating to the school.  The cost for per student is $35/month. Their parents, most of them subsistence farmers, pay $1.25/month. Pray with us that the Lord will raise up individuals, groups, Sunday School classes, elementary school classes, mission agencies, and churches to commit to sending $35/month. Up to this year Wycliffe has donated the major support to Light & Life School but will start decreasing their support. Soon Wycliffe will no longer be involved. We also have a few generous individual supporters. My heart commitment is to find financial help that replaces the Wycliffe support.

I believe that Light & Life School is the most important vehicle God can use to carry on the work of the Ixil Translation. These children are learning to read the Bible in their heart language and will be the future Christians leaders. Please pray about the privilege of helping them.

Bible Mission is the non-profit mission agency who has so graciously consented to be the channel for finances for Light & Life School. THE GIFT OF LEARNING -2009-2011
There are 60 students who needed textbooks. Each textbook contains the four subjects--language, science, math, and social studies and costs $35.Thanks to you who were willing to give a donation to provide one book for each student. The staff wants to teach well, and the students are eager to learn. They appreciate your interest! 

Would you now consider giving the gift that keeps on giving? Think about one of your favorite books and how much it costs to purchase it. Then send a donation in the amount of the cost of that book to Light & Life School. We'll see that a beautiful book is purchased in a language they can understand. It will be read aloud in class and made available for the kids to read individually.
